Dear Lucky Star Customers,
We hope everyone is well and staying safe. We have tentative plans to reopen June 26, 2020. We will have a limited schedule as well as limited capacity per bus.
We want to inform you of our new procedures and policies. While New York and Massachusetts are slowly reopening, we are still taking many precautions to ensure the safety of our passengers and our staff. Below is an explanation of our new cleaning procedures.
COVID19 Cleaning Procedures:
Lucky Star has been working tirelessly to ensure that the safety of our passengers is our top priority upon our return to service. While many things remain uncertain, we are carefully watching for CDC guidelines and updates and will adjust our procedures accordingly.
We ask that all passengers wear a face covering for the full duration of the trip. This is not only for your own safety, but for the safety of other passengers and for our employees.
Every bus is disinfected before, between and after each trip. We are using EPA qualified disinfectants to sanitize the bus with an electrostatic fogger, we are also sanitizing highly touched surfaces with sanitizing wipes. All staff have been trained in the proper use and procedures on how to sanitize every motorcoach.
All of our staff are required to wear face coverings throughout their shift.
Staff are also required to sanitize work stations often, use hand sanitizers and keep a safe distance from passengers.
The manufacturers of Vanhool (the buses we use), have ensured that the cabin air within the bus is recycled with fresh air 25-35 times an hour. The HVAC system on the bus runs fresh air into the bus, therefore, we will keep the air on in the bus, running on high to keep the air inside clean.
Changes you will see:
▪On the bus, we have limited the number of riders.
▪the first 2 rows of the bus will not be occupied by passengers, to keep our drivers safe. Passengers must sit every other row.
▪Staff will no longer be handling passenger’s luggage, this is to decrease any contamination between staff and passengers. If you do need assistance, you may ask our staff and they will do their best to help.
▪Customers must wear a face covering for the duration of the trip. We reserve the right to deny service if you do not follow this rule.
▪New York station, to reduce the number of people inside the station, we have removed a row of seating, you will see markers on the ground that indicate where to stand when in line.
▪South Station has implemented their own rules and they will be enforced by South Station staff. Lucky Star employees and passengers must follow these rules. If a passenger does not follow these rules, our staff will report to a South Station employee
As we have been doing, there will be contactless check-in before boarding the bus. Please have your ticket on your phone ready for scanning or have your printed ticket ready for scanning before boarding the bus.
We have revised our Reschedule Policy, if a passenger is not feeling well, we encourage you to send us an email info@luckystarbus.com or call us at 617-269-5468 and we can assist with your rescheduling.
We thank you for your patience and understanding during this time,
Lucky Star Team
