How long does it usually take to travel between New York and Boston? Depends on traffic condition, but it normally takes 4-5 hours to travel between Boston and New York.

What if I do not have a printer to print out the e-tickets? Please write down the confirmation number from your e-ticket and bring a valid government issued ID.

How much luggage is allowed? A passenger is allowed to take 1 carry-on and 2 luggage. Additional luggage will be charged as full-priced ticket.

How long in advance do I need to arrive? Please arrive 30 minutes before your scheduled departure time, otherwise your seat will be given to another passenger.

What should I do if my order was declined? Your order was declined and our payment system did a pre-authorization on your credit card. The fund was not charged and it will be cleared within the next 3 days.

How do I get to the New York bus station? Take the B or D train, then get off at the Grand Street Station. When you get out of the station, you'll see Chrystie Street. We are located at 69 Chrystie Street, next to Comfort Inn which is currently under construction. The new New York station will open soon, only 4 storefronts away, same pick-up and drop-off location.

How to get to the Boston bus station? Take the Red Line and get off at the South Station stop. When you get out of the station, follow the bus terminal sign. We are located on the 3rd floor, gate #13.

Can I get refund after I purchased a ticket but could not make the trip? Ticket purchases are final and are not refundable or exchangeable. Duplicate transactions are also not refundable, please make sure you agree with the online purchase agreement before checking out. Children over 2 years olds need to purchase full fare ticket. The ticket is valid only for the date and time stated and is non changeable and is nonrefundable.

Can I bring a pet? Unfortunately, pet is not allowed on the bus, except for service animal (eg. guiding dog) or police department K-9.

How much is the child fare? A child under two (2) years of age may be held in an adult's lap at no charge when traveling with Lucky Star Bus. When one adult travels with two infants, the adult passenger may only hold one infant. An additional seat must be purchased for the second (2nd) infant with full adult fare. Lucky Star Bus recommends that adults not bring children under one week old on the bus.

I have a discounted ticket, how can I change my reservation? Discounted ticket holder may change their reservation by arriving to the ticket counter 45 minutes prior to the new desired departure time. There is no additional service fee, but please pay the $15 difference with a credit card, no cash will be accepted. Bare in mind, once you changed your original reservation, your seat on the new reservation is based on first-come-first-served and it is not guaranteed. After checking-in, please stay in line to board the bus.

Is there a rest stop along the way? Yes, we do take a small break at Burger King in Connecticut. The rest stop is 1.5 hours away from Boston and 2.5 hours away from New York.
